Damith Premathilake is well decorated with both national and international awards. After winning the SLIA Design Award 2012 – Award of Excellence for the Holiday Cabana at Maduru Oya project, he has made his country proud by winning the World Architecture Community Awards twice in the years 2012 and 2014. He also received the Architecture Asia Awards for Emerging Architects at the ArcAsia – 2014 conference held in Malaysia. His competency as an architect was proved again further, being awarded recently as the Young Architect of the Year- 2016 at the Inauguration Ceremony of National Conference and Architects Trade Exhibition in Sri Lanka. One of his biggest achievements has been to be winner of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Sri Lanka in 2016, one of the most prestigious National Awards a person could achieve in their lifetime as a young professional. Most of his work is widely published in both local and international journals as well as in the internet. His continuous contribution to the field of Architecture presently stands a testament to successful achievements in the future.
