“A cut above the rest”
Stepping into the Salon 7th Avenue, one can’t help but notice the welcoming nature of the place. Elegant yet cozy, substantial yet relaxed, the place brims with bliss. The spatial configuration stacks the activities requiring more privacy away from the frequented movements. While this creates a sense of privacy for the customer it also induces smooth functioning of the salon. Furthermost in the upper floor are the Waxing and beauty treatment rooms, while the ground floor consists of cutting stations, hair washing, manicure and pedicure stations, hair styling which require less privacy.
Inspiration for the color scheme at Salon 7th Avenue derived from the white Iris flower – which is incidentally the theme of the company. The earthly color scheme, ranging from shades of brown, cream and white however is a conscious attempt to create a soothing yet elegant ambiance. Blend of natural light with the artificial lighting creates a sense of calmness amidst the busy workstations. While keeping the desired luminance levels at the workstations, rest of the areas are lit up with warm lighting to create a more natural transition from relax to active moods.
The exterior greenery is carefully framed using square openings in the walls. This greenery, spreading outside and spilling to the inside, compliments with the earthly toned colors to create a soothing aura. The carefully chosen plant arrangements not only relax the eye but also create a balance between straight lines and organic shapes.
