This is residence is located in the busy suburbs of Colombo, Nawala. The house is a U shaped plan that follows the concept of the garden then a house followed by a garden and hence forth.
The sloping site and the 2 access roads gives rise to a basement level and additional parking.
The U shaped configuration centralized around the pond allows each main space to overlook each other bringing effective visual connection and captivating views. The pond enhances the amount of light that falls within each space allowing only reflective light to enter also providing evaporative cooling.
The house also features a roof pavilion that accommodates a gym, office and a mini theatre.
This design is an epitome of a fusion of a contemporary international style and tropical architecture.
